Privacy Policy


As part of the professional services it provides, Pam Stenhouse Counselling holds and processes your personal data in the form of:

  • Personal/contact information provided by you via the Registration Form
  • Particulars of your situation written down during the initial session (where consent has been given for such note-taking)
  • Brief handwritten notes recording the content and themes of sessions to provide  continuity

This data is obtained and held to ensure good standards of work and efficient management of your therapy, in line with good practice.

All your data is stored securely and is retained for seven years after the end of therapy after which it is securely destroyed.
If, following an initial session, a decision is made not to proceed with ongoing therapy, all data will be destroyed immediately.

No personal data will be shared with a third party except in the following circumstances:

  • Where there is immediate risk of substantial harm to self or others
  • In the event of terrorism or drug money laundering
  • Where disclosure has been demanded by court order

In compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) all stored data is available to you, should you request access. Please request in writing by email to pamstenhousecounselling@gmail.com -  stating your name, address and the specific information you require, including dates – and allow 10 working days for a reply.
